Avello's process

  1. Coordinate with EV provider, electrical contractor, and utility
  2. Mark utilities and lay out pad, conduit, and bollard locations
  3. Saw-cut and excavate pad footprint and conduit trenches
  4. Install conduit and pull-boxes per electrical drawings
  5. Pour reinforced concrete pads sized for the charger model
  6. Backfill trenches, restore asphalt, and re-stripe EV stalls
  7. Install protective bollards around each unit
  8. Written scope with quantities, materials, and a realistic budget range you can hand to ownership, a board, or a finance director
  9. Pre-construction notice package with dates, affected areas, and access maps so tenants, staff, or residents are never surprised
  10. Post-work walkthrough with photo documentation and a punch list closed out before final invoicing

FAQ

Do you coordinate with our electrician?+

Yes. Avello phases excavation, conduit, and pour to fit the electrician's pull schedule.

What size pad do EV chargers need?+

Typical Level-2 pad is 3'×5'; DC fast-charger pads are 4'×6' to 5'×8' with deeper footings. We build to the manufacturer's spec sheet.

Are bollards required?+

Most manufacturers and insurance carriers now require front and side bollards. Avello installs Schedule 40 concrete-filled bollards as standard.

Do EV stalls need ADA compliance?+

Yes — new chargers must include at least one accessible stall with proper access aisle and signage.
