What bollard size do we need?+
Storefront protection typically uses 6" Schedule 40 pipe, 4-foot above grade, 3-foot below grade, concrete-filled. Heavier applications use 8" Schedule 80.
Removable bollards available?+
Yes — for fire-lane access or delivery routes, we install padlocked removable sleeves.
Wheel-stops or curbing?+
Wheel-stops are cheaper and easier to plow around; integral concrete curbs last longer but require concrete work. Avello recommends based on plowing patterns.
Do bollards need painting or sleeves?+
Painted finishes last 2–3 years before fading. Plastic sleeves stay bright for 10+ years and are easier to replace.
